Reiki means Universal Life Energy. It is
the essential force that flows through all matter and can be activated for a
powerful form of healing called Reiki. Reiki is not a faith system, all that
is required is the willingness to heal and be healed.
A Reiki treatment is a light, hands-on process whereby a Reiki practitioner
transfers universal life force to the recipient, whether that be to the body of
another person, or into the practitioner's own body. A Reiki treatment is safe,
non-intrusive, and non manipulative; there are no substances applied to the
body, and the recipient of a Reiki treatment remains fully clothed.
During a full Reiki treatment, the practitioner directs healing energy
to several areas of the head, the upper body (from neck to pelvic area), and the
back (from shoulders to tailbone). While focus is given to the body's major
organs, every cell of the body will benefit. In addition to the formal body
positions, Reiki can be applied to any part of the body that has been injured.
The sensation felt by the recipient of a Reiki treatment is usually a deep
feeling of warmth, well-being and comfort.
There are 3
