Let me acknowledge and embrace the ways you love me and I love you. I offer
you this poem in loving gratitude for our reunion and joint adventure in
fulfilling our purpose and loving each other for all eternity.
Lightness, humour, loving, teasing;
Seeing each other's behaviours and quirks as pleasing.
Every feeling, every reaction, every idea and dream,
Everything about each other we hold in high esteem.
Wanting each other's happiness,
Responding to each other needs,
Pleasure in giving, being who we are,
Taking sight of our visions, sharing good deeds.
Believing in each other's strengths and talents,
Being our ideal of a brother or mother,
Praising, encouraging, supporting our best interests,
Never giving up on each other.
Warning of dangers, preventing self-sabotage,
Helping each other be smart,
Touching, talking, loving gestures,
Holding, gazing, and feeling from the heart.
No judgment, no failure, everything belongs,
Everything accepted, no wrong or right,
No weakness, no disapproval, or need to prove
How worthy we are in each other's sight.
Sharing of secrets, nothing held back,
Honest and truthful about how we feel,
No lack of knowing all about each other,
Free at last to be completely real.
Complementing each other's deficiencies,
Doing what benefits the whole,
Fulfilling our united purpose,
Reaching our common goal.
Never abandoned, never alone;
Always available, always around.
Wherever we go we are always at home,
Feelings of trust and security abound.
We act in our knowing, rest in our guidance,
We are open to listening and able to respond,
In celebrating this connection so strong,
We feel the joy that comes in such a bond.
